Pain is an “essential worker;” in the sculpting of our lives
A lot of people are struggling right now. COVID-19 has changed our lives almost immediately, overnight, and many of us are feeling the pain of process, of necessity, of moving forward.
Pain presents itself in many forms from broken relationships, loss of loved ones, health issues, and so many more.
What we don’t realise is that this pain is a key part of our internal processors, and understanding where we are going and how to achieve our dreams. For a problem to be identified and rectified, one must first realise that there is a problem. Once a problem is identified, whether it is in form of addiction, gambling, spending, alcohol etc, the pain in the process must be greater than the reward from doing the behaviour.
Most clients come to us at a time in their life where their pain is extremely evident. They are fed up with their situation, tired of not moving ahead and in emotional turmoil and pain around their cashflow. They have recognized the problem, have felt the pain, and are now seeking a solution. The first step of the solution simple to understand, simple to implement, and is all based around our mindsets.
Mindset – Why VS How
Be cautious of your words and consider when money problems present themselves to your life, how you choose to address these. For instance, if you keep asking yourself “why do I never have enough money?” Or, “why am I always broke,” you will always be in pain. If the pain is not great enough to instigate change, this is where you will remain.
Our brains are programmed to come up with answers to the questions we ask. If you are asking yourself; “why I am always broke?” then your internal chatter may something along the lines of “because you are terrible at managing money.” This thought is very negative in mindset and very dangerous! It will keep you down trodden and stressed out. This amazing brain of ours, and the “solution” it presents to us shows us that what our minds conjure up will not bring us closer towards our goals, it will only take us further away, when the wrong questions are asked.
Instead of asking “why,” we encourage you to ask “how.” “How can I have enough money?” “How can I get ahead financially?”
When you start asking “how” questions, your brain – once again programmed to respond to your question, will start answering “how” questions for you. “How can I get ahead financially?” Well… your brain may respond with:
- I can make a budget…
- I can track my expenses…
- I can step up and really take control of my cashflow…
- I can do this!
- How do I start…? Start by researching, start by learning, start by reaching out!
By shifting our mindsets, the positive changes in our lives become truly staggering. The idea, concept and formula are simple; in order to change our current destinations, we need to shift our mindsets! “Pain within the process,” is an integral opportunity not to fear, but to embrace! We never truly appreciate the beautiful days within our life until we have experienced the pain in the more challenging ones.
Are the actions you are taking today within your mindset, leading you closer to or further away from your goals…?
How can we help you?
