Had Enough Yet?
There are so many pressures we face in our lives today. The feeling of going round and round in circles feeling rich on pay day and broke again right before it. The feeling of dread and never getting ahead.
Your friends are off buying their first home, getting the promotion at work, but you’re not and you feel stuck – unable to move forward on your own life goals. Your dreams feel like they are slipping away and it doesn’t matter how hard you work… everything just feels like it’s getting further and further out of reach that it can begin to feel hopeless.
Add to this with the stress upon our relationships with arguments over spending money, never having enough money, and frustrations boiling around where you are going to find money for bills and food…
And if you are fortunate to be a business owner with all the above challenges plus your business stresses… consider how you would continue to serve and push through with a smile on your face despite being overwhelmed, tired, and stressed with little to zero down time.
Have you had enough yet?
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. If you have been at the same job for years, and are broke – living pay day to pay day – or running your own business and are tired, stressed, and overwhelmed, with little to show for your hard work something needs to change.
So, what are you going to do about it?
For some people the answer isn’t going to be work harder or earn more money. It’s going to be about getting strategic with what you do have and making your money work for you.
For others it could be a career change away from that role that didn’t value you and into one that does.
For business owners it could be stepping back into employment for consistent pay cycle and reduced stress, or making tweaks to your existing business model.
Or it could be about finally starting your side hustle and creating your new life venture, whatever it may be.
Whatever you choose it cannot be at the detriment of family time or YOUR down-time.
Your future begins and ends with you.
If you took a good hard look at your life today you could conclude that everything (the good, the bad, the ugly) that is in your life today has been created by you. If you do come to this conclusion then you are further ahead than others.
Why?
Well, if you understand that everything in your life has been created by you – and you don’t like where you are at – you have the amazing opportunity to choose again and to change.
You can create a new career.
You can start your side hustle.
You can create a new business strategy, or start a new business.
Whatever you choose to do – you can unapologetically re-align your life.
Do something magical for yourself and witness the results that come from your hard work and affirm that you do not need to stay stuck where you are annoyed, frustrated, and dissatisfied.
For forward action all that’s required is a conscious decision of wanting to to improve where you are currently at, and having the tenacity and courage to push forward.
Never lose sight of what’s most important to you, and never diminish your inner shine. Share your goals, dreams and ambitions with your partner and let them support you, heck – even take your children along for the ride (they might learn something from a determined parent with serious goals!).
Never let tiredness, overwhelm, and stress take over your life. Rest if you must but then rise up, rise above, and rise to the occasion. Keep pushing towards your goals with tenacity and courage while being grounded and in alignment with yourself and what you want out of your life.
You will be amazed at how much you can accomplish when set your mind to it, and you will be an inspiration to those around you who witness your successes.
You too can live the life you always wanted to – but it’s up to you to choose it, and put yourself first. If you aren’t grounded or in alignment with yourself, then how will you be able achieve all the dreams that you have set for your life?
Being grounded and in alignment are your first two steps to success… from there – there is no limit.
